Akshay Singh, DTM

Akshay Singh, DTM is a passionate Toastmaster with over 100 months of experience across corporate, community, and advanced clubs. Currently serving as District Technology Officer, he believes in using technology to simplify processes, strengthen engagement, and empower leaders to create greater impact. His Toastmasters journey includes serving as District Public Relations Manager, Division Director, Area Director, Club Mentor, Club Sponsor, and in all seven club officer roles, with multiple terms as President and Vice President Education. A Distinguished Toastmaster who has completed five Toastmasters Paths, Akshay is also a podium finisher in multiple speech contests and an enthusiastic trainer and mentor across communication, leadership, technology, public relations, Table Topics, speech evaluation, club climate, gamification, automation, and innovative approaches to meeting roles. His leadership journey also includes significant contributions to Eloquence – District 98’s Annual Conference and global initiatives such as #24 Editions 1 & 2, the 24-hour Worldwide Toastmasters Meeting Marathon that connected speakers and leaders from around the world. His contributions have been recognised through several accolades, including Toastmaster of the Year, Shining Star of the Division, and President’s Distinguished Division Director. Professionally, Akshay is a Lead Data & DevOps Engineer at IDFC FIRST Bank. His passion for technology also extends to Binary AI Labs, where he creates digital tools and utilities designed to simplify and enhance experiences for the Toastmasters community: Binary AI Labs. Beyond technology and Toastmasters, Akshay enjoys cycling through Mumbai, playing badminton, practising yoga, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and writing poetry. He is also an active Habuild Community Volunteer and contributes to causes centred on Environment, Education, and Empowerment. More recently, he has begun exploring theatre as an art form, performing in two plays before a combined audience of over 800 people. For Akshay, these pursuits are more than hobbies they are different ways to stay curious, creative, active, and connected with people. At the heart of his journey is a simple belief: technology, creativity, and leadership can come together to help people learn, connect, and grow.
