WHAT HAPPENS IN A MEETING?
A typical Tooastmaster meeting follows a simple and original flow.
Toostmaster of the day
Acts as the meeting host, introduces speakers and participants, keeps the agenda on track, and ensures the meeting flows smoothly from start to finish.
Speaker
Delivers a prepared speech from the Toastmasters Pathways learning program, practicing communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Table Topics Master
Leads the impromptu speaking session by asking interesting questions that encourage members and guests to think quickly and speak confidently.
Evaluator
Provides thoughtful, constructive feedback to each speaker, recognizing strengths while offering practical suggestions for improvement.
Timer
Tracks speaking times using visual signals to help participants develop effective time management and presentation discipline.
Grammarian
Listens carefully throughout the meeting, highlights effective language, introduces the Word of the Day, and helps members improve grammar and vocabulary.
